SMALL AVALANCHES
Linda is 12 and she is bored. It seems to her that nothing matters and nothing ever really happens. But on this day she meets an older man. Linda is amused, even exhilarated by their seemingly innocent encounter. But things take a disturbing turn, and Linda's world is transformed forever. Based on a short story by Joyce Carol Oates.
