EKELÖF'S VISION - A NORDIC POETS JOURNEY

Gunnar Ekelöf (1907-1968) – perhaps Scandinavia’s biggest icon in modern poetry –
today stands as an inescapable artist and thinker, a cultural and spiritual benchmark for contemporary writers, scientists and freethinkers. 'Ekelöf’s Vision' seeks to give the viewer an existential, spiritual and artistic experience. So this is not so much a film biography or a portrait of the artist in the traditional sense of the word, as a journey of discovery leading down into the depths of Ekelöf’s universe. At the same time, the film and selected interviews confront Ekelöf’s universe with personal statements by principal Scandinavian poets, artists and scientists on subjects which are central to them and to understanding Ekelöf and the nature of writing poetry.
